Maccas Steak Sandwich




  • 600g rump steak
  • Packet of bacon
  • 3 red onions, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • Cos lettuce
  • 1-2 avocados, mashed
  • 8 slices of jarlsberg cheese
  • Can of beetroot
  • Loaf of bread
  • Tomato chutney
  • Seeded mustard
  • Mayo
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil


  1. Prepare the tomato, lettuce, cheese and avocado on plates/in bowls ready for serving
  2. Heat a frying pan or saucepan with plenty of oil and add the onion. Cook until caramelised. Put in to a bowl
  3. Season the steak with salt and pepper and cook until preferred taste
  4. While the steak is cooking, toast the required amount of bread
  5. Once the steak is cooked, slice it up and place on to a plate
  6. Meanwhile, heat another frying pan to cook the bacon. Place on a plate
  7. Put out all the condiments
  8. Put the sandwiches together with everything, or get everyone to make their own with whatever they want in it

Serves 6 people, or 3 really hungry guys
