A Taste Of Marilyn

Le Big Mac

 

Ingredients 

4 x Wagyu burger patties

2 x large green tomatoes (sliced thickly across the middle)

½ brown onion (diced finely)

½ iceberg lettuce (shredded)

Gherkin spread

bottle Kewpie mayo

Korean vinegar chilli sauce

8 x Kraft cheese slices

300 ml Rice wine vinegar

1 tbsp castor sugar

1 tsp salt

4 x brioche burger buns

Method

Combine vinegar, salt and sugar in a non-reactive bowl. Add tomatoes to vinegar mix and set aside for at least 15 mins.

Combine kewpie and chilli sauce and set aside for 15 mins.

Heat pan/grill/BBQ and cook patties until medium/well done. Place two slices of cheese on patties during the last 5 mins of cooking.

Assembly

1. Sauce on bottom half of bun

2. Onion

3. Lettuce

3. Pattie

4. Slice of tomato

5. Gherkin spread on top layer of bun
